You’ll work with a dedicated mediator who will guide you through each step of our INR method, keeping negotiations on a timeline and your priorities at the centre of the process. When necessary, your mediator will meet with you and your partner or spouse separately to provide both of you the opportunity to make decisions fully informed and in your way. Your final separation agreement will reflect everyone’s needs, preferences, vision for the future and based on the marital and divorce laws. When the process requires additional expertise, we’ll draw from our extended independent team of trusted professionals in real estate, finance, tax, business valuation, pension valuation, and the law. Brigette Shoppoff B.A., CDFA®, Q.Med

Resolution Expert, Mediator

Brigette is a professional mediator, a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, and graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University. She has specialized training in Conflict Management and Mediation through the Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies, University of Waterloo.

Brigette’s experience working extensively with families and individuals in social services, mental health, community corrections, and child welfare enables her to bring an array of expertise to the mediation table. She has experience with high conflict situations and has mediated disputes in various areas, including family, landlord and tenant, and other conflicts between individuals in the community. Brigette uses the guiding principle of self-determination in her mediation sessions to believe that the people in conflict are the experts in developing the most appropriate solution. As a divorce mediator, her goal is to facilitate the communication process to reach a mutually agreeable resolution.

Following her completion of a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Conflict Resolution Studies, Jen Hoenisch furthered her education at the University of Manitoba, completing a Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Education, specializing in guidance and counselling and achieved her Certified Divorce Financial Analyst designation.

Jen’s comprehensive experience includes working with families experiencing conflict in the social services system. She possesses the unique skills needed to mediate conflicted situations and implement successful resolutions efficiently and effectively. Jen’s understanding of the family dynamic enables her to alleviate the conflict between couples and bring the separation process to a mutually beneficial conclusion.
