Deena Gangbar is a mediation associate with Fairway Divorce Solutions' Waterloo Wellington office. She brings a unique perspective to the role from a legal background/education and several years of mediation experience. Having the opportunity to positively impact individuals and families through the alternative disruption resolution process draws Deena to Fairway Divorce Solutions.
Deena obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree at Queen's University, then an Alternative Dispute Resolution Certificate at Humber College, before completing her law degree at Osgood Hall Law School. While completing her education, she worked and volunteered in multiple capacities as a mediator at both St. Stephen's Community Mediation and the Community Legal Aid Clinic. These experiences gave her a broad perspective in community, family and labour mediation, as well as in domestic violence and criminal diversion cases in Youth Court. Deena completed her articling at a full-service Bay Street law firm. This experience helped her realize that her true passion lies in helping separating couples navigate the choppy waters of divorce with compassion and empathy.
Deena thrives in the creative-solution space while listening attentively to her clients to clearly understand each person's unique situation. Deena loves the unique, step-by-step, Independently Negotiated Resolution (INR) process that makes Fairway Divorce's approach so successful for clients during this challenging time in their lives. Being able to help clients reach a resolution in such a cost-effective and timely manner fuels her passion even more.

Deena displays a maturity far beyond her years. Her approach is thoughtful, kind and compassionate. Most importantly, she allowed me to have voice, even though I’m sure she had a pretty good idea of where the discussions would end up. She has a real respect for the journey of mediation.
